I am so glad I am with Sprint...I have been waiting for my GS2 for months now as release day approaches...I do feel bad for those on Big Red who were looking forward to GS2 Engadget they are rumored to be getting the Prime...time will tell.

Pretty dumb move on Verizon's part maybe Samsung will shed some light on it Monday as to the reasoning behind this. Wonder if Apple has anything to do with it???

I will be jumping ship from Verizon and will be joining you all on Sept 9th. Looking forward to the gs2. I'm fed up with Verizon's crap anyway.

chuckz28 - did you see my post on the Function forum? Make sure you look into Sprint's Port-In Credit. You'll save even more money on the switch and pay for your wife's ETF.

Port In Credit

i dont believe this because i just found a picture of a verizon branded SGS2 IN BOX and sent it as a tip to the heads here at android central.

Verizon is getting the HTC Vigor 720p, Nexus Prime 720p, and the Samsung Stratosphere 4.5".

Verizon is laughing.

dont know if you guys saw this but heres a copy of what it says in this link.Samsung Stratosphere Not Verizon Galaxy S II ? Phone Reviews

Then comes the biggie, apparently they say the new Samsung Stratosphere will not be Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy S II variant but is rather a slider device previous seen that looks like the Epic 4G, although release date wise they say the Samsung Stratosphere is still expected the same day as the Motorola Droid Bionic, which is of course the 8th of September.

So there you go, those who were hoping the Samsung Stratosphere would be Verizon’s shiny new Galaxy S II will apparently be disappointed, that is of course if the guy’s sources have come up with good that are spot on and not just speculation.

Nexus phones are proven to not be big sellers, so any company expecting one to draw customers, will be let down.

I honestly think its a galaxy s 2 with Droid branding. Nexus prime could be a whole different phone

It just has to be marketed correctly. I never saw a single ad for the N1, but Sprint has pretty great ads for the Nexus S. I knew 1 guy with the N1, and like 8 people with the NS. If Verizon really wants to sell a lot of them, they will.

Now if only we could get some kind of confirmation :)
