No ICS for "OLD" Photon for months: Time for new phone?

Plus the Samsung screens are by far the best I have seen by far.
You must be blind! I can see grainyness from 2 feet away on the GS3. Yuk!

The Motorola ColorBoost, HTC EVO LTE & iPhone have much higher clarity screens than GS3.

I want a Motorola Nexus. That would be amazing.

I love my Photon (now that I re-rooted after 2.3.5... it pissed me off for a second there). My wife has a Samsung GS3, and I can tell you that her reception is awful compared to my MoPho. My area (Miami) is slated for LTE before the end of the year, but I am more than happy letting everyone else be the guinea pigs for the new system. WiMax is not going anywhere anytime soon, and it can only get faster with so many people jumping ship and buying LTE phones (and dropping off the WiMax). Now if only Moto would release the bootloader so we can throw custom ROMS on without killing WiMax... that would have me keep the phone for my full 2 years.

thanks for all the responses. The Galaxy Note 2 looks good to me and will have to wait until the end of 2012 just to see if it will be offered by sprint. Might even have ics by then....

Its funny, I had an Epic 4g slider and became disenfranchised with Samsung due to the late and poor quality updates.

Went to the Photon and it was the best phone out of the box I ever had. Its sad that they do not have ICS yet but that is likely due to the fact that the phone is not popular and does not have a large amount of users, even though it was/is a real solid phone.

Now I am going to try Samsung again since I have an upgrade and am going to give the GS3 a try. Not going to hesitate going back to the MoPho though If I'm not satisfied.

Love the icon;)

The only update I've heard about the gs3 having so far took away universal search...

Having been a Pam Pre user myself and having the Photon do everything I need it to do, I'm not changing phones. I'll wait until either ICS comes out for the Photon or some other phone sets itself apart from all the same old uninteresting bricks that all smart phones are.

How do you tell the difference between a Samsung, HTC, Motorola, or anyone else? Hey, this one has rounded corners! Wow that one comes in two colors! Underneath they are all pretty much the same.

I would be very happy if the Galaxy Note II comes to Sprint because I can see the advantages of the unique form factor and the stylus. It kind of takes me back to the Palm Treo days. :)

I'm waiting to see what happens with the next Nexus phone(s). I'm not really a fan of Samsung, so I'm interested in seeing if the rumors of multiple devices turn out to be true. I would love a Moto, HTC, or Sony Nexus.

I'm not sure if I will stay with Sprint or not. It would actually be cheaper for my wife and I on Verizon with the amount of data we actually use. The $10 per smartphone fee really bugs me, it's like the bag fees for the airlines; it's just a stealth price increase. I'd rather they be upfront about pricing always.
