No mention of water resistance?

Of all the rumors going around ,I'm nervous that water resistance or water proof has not been mentioned. This is one of my favorite features on the s5 and I was hoping to have it on the s6.

Any chance we'll get this feature?

Since up to this point everything is just rumors and that Water RESISTANCE has been a thing since the S4, I think it's pretty safe to say it will be in the S6 when it's announced. It'd be cool if they make it unibody and water PROOF, but that would likely mean they'd have to get rid of SD Card support.

I wouldn't mind giving up the SD card if the minimum built in storage is 32 gigs.

That does seem to be the standard now, so also very likely (the Note 4, I believe, was 32GB minimum). I'd actually like 64GB to be the minimum, but 32 wouldn't be too bad.

I would rather have a microSD card slot than it being waterproof. You can always buy a $50 case to make it waterproof, you can never add more storage without an SD card.

My fiance's S5 has not been water resistant for a while now as the bottom cover on her phone won't completely seal. It sits uneven. Samsung needs to fix that aspect if they want to make the S6 water resistant too.

Oh no. I hate cases. They hide the beauty of the phone and make it bigger. In a perfect world though, I would love for the s6 to be water proof ,have an SD card slot and be a metal design .

Well, a case can hide the "beauty" of the S5 all it wants haha. Maybe I'm getting older but I really don't care what a phone looks like now because it will be in some case eventually. I also wouldn't call the S5 "beautiful" especially given the generic design (just like every other smartphone) and dimpled back.

S5 is one of the ugliest Samsung phones to date. That band aid looking back is awful.
Plus those bezels. Looks like an S3 and S4 had a baby with the S5.

Don't think waterproof was that big of selling point advantage last year. They don't want compromise the design of the phone with flaps etc to make it water proof. I don't think S6 will be waterproof.

There will definitely be no water resistance. Thr note 4 doesnt have it. The galaxy alpha, nope. The latest a3. A5. And a7 with all metal unibody, nope. The s5 was the only one off fluke. The s5 was thicker and wider than it should be because it was water resistant. Samsung thinks it was a bad mistake and not a worthwhile compromise. There are no all metal unibody phones that are water resistant. Never seen one. The only water resistant one will be the active version thats way chunkier. I honestly dont see the value in it either. I am fine with the water repellant coating that phones like the moto e and g have.

Water proof? Great for people who work next to swimming pools, but I'd be happy with water "resistant" (See also: Droid Turbo).
Just let me use the phone in the rain...with no case.... that would be amazing.

You don't know that for a fact. And why would the S5 be thicker and wider? It has a flap on the charging port and some resistance in the headphone jack.

Knowing Samsung, they are not going to take away removable battery, MicroSD card, and water resistance. Three steps backwards for what? A glass back and metal sides? No way. Don't believe it.

Like who's swimming with their phone?? It makes a phone clunky, thick and makes the ports impossible to get to. I would be happy with a nice light slim metal phone that has good feel, balance and ease of use.

I went swimming with my S5. Even took pictures underwater. Yesterday, my phone dropped out of my pocket while it was pouring down and I didn't notice for about 5 min. Brought it inside, dried it off with a paper towel, and used it like normal. I find waterproofing quite helpful. Slimness isn't everything, in my opinion. I'd rather have a huge battery in my phone than have it keep getting slimmer. If the S6 doesn't have waterproofing, I'll probably just use my S5 when we go to the pool though, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

I'm pretty sure it can be water resistent, I mean the Sony Xperia Z3 has metal sides and glass on the front and back. I don't see why the S6 wouldn't be.
