Hi,

I had to do a factory reset on my HTC 10.
after the reset, I get the steps to set up my phone (language, country...)
When I'm asked to put the wifi password, the keyboard won't show up.
I did skip to all steps and when into the settings:
settings - language and keyboard
that pages shows:
current keyboard = smartdialer - smartdialer
I press on "current keyboard" and I see "Change Keyboard" in a popup
I see one radio button with again smartdialer
on that popup I also press on the "choose keyboards"
it opens a new page called keyboard and input methods

that page only shows google voice typing (automatic) and it's turned on

I did the factory reset several times, still end up with no keyboard. I can't even install one as google play wants me to log on with a google account (and guess what I need to do that?)

no sure what else I can try. Any suggestions?

cheers,

You can load a different keyboard in Play on desktop. Log into Play with the same Gmail as your HTC, and you can install any keyboard you like. Google has one that's free, GBoard, i think it's called.
