No New Galaxy Tab at CES

Ive been holding off purchasing a tablet as the Galaxy Tab S2 is 18 months old and due for an update. It was rumored for september, and then for CES 2017.
Samsung had the stage yesterday but it was mostly chrome books, washing machines, fridge freezers and tv's. No tablets.

Have samsung given up on tablets or could there be more to be released before the end of CES?

I'm in the same position as you, at least here in the UK the S2 (9.7") has been sold out everywhere for a couple of months and the retailers cannot place any orders for more. This suggests the s3 is incoming soon so I'm hoping they could announce in the next couple of days, they announced the A range smartphones without a press conference so they may do it again?
