That is incorrect information. It does not have a notch at all. It is very similar to the LG G6 as far the display goes. No interruptions in the screen at all.

Don't get what the big fuss is about the notch when it can be turned off and forgot about in majority of Androids with it anyway, and still have a bigger display area than 5.99inch.

Because even on the Nokia 9 the OS thinks there is a notch so only 4 notifications show with a gap in the middle. The other phones I've looked at still had strange artifacts when trying to "hide" the notch.

I can ask the same question the other way, why are so many obscessed with getting a notch or punch? Why are so many apparently obscessed with looks over functionality? Flat screens and bezels are necessary for maximum functionality.
