No noticeable change in battery life so far

Well, I have not seen a difference in my battery so far on ICS. I even let it drain all the way to about 5 percent last night before charging. I was hoping for a noticeable change in the battery life, but no such luck. If anything, it might even be a little worse. It definitely is not better.

I am still really happy with ICS, but this is no Razr Maxx when it comes to the battery. Those suckers last all day with heavy use. I am lucky to get four to five hours of heavy use. I would have to say that is the one drawback of the Rezound ... horrible battery.

That being said, I still would not trade my Rezound for another Moto phone. Next phone, however, I am going to look for one with a better battery reputation. The Rezound, for me, is too bulky already for the extended battery, so I always have a spare battery hanging around, along with charging cables everywhere.

give it a week. I a noticing a drain as well since I do not have the time to ROM right now, but the OS has the relearn the battery.

I initially noted a rapid drain as well as significant heat. This seems to have settled down though.

Cool ... hopefully we get some better results soon.

Just for the heck of it, I went to the Verizon site and compared battery specs of the Galaxy S, the Maxx and the Rezound. The Rezound numbers are embarrassing compared to those other two phones.

I know the Rezound makes up for it in other areas, but yeah, a 15 hour battery would be more than awesome!

My battery life seems to have taken a hit (but honestly have been lurking a lot here...) and battery seems warmer, too. Charging didn't seem as fast, but that might be getting better. Definitely not better than GB - at least not yet.

give it time. the .10 was good for both the heat and the life. One thing to do is check the box under wifi settings to turn off wifi while the screen is off....

Giving it time is good advice. Like I said it may be getting better already, just hard to tell without some kind of replicable test. I don't use WiFi much since I'm always on the move.

Probably a good idea. When I first bout the 'Zound in November, it took about a week for the battery to settle in. I kind of expected battery life to fluctuate after the upgrade so I wasn't too worried about it.

I.m.o,coming off GB to the ics .10 leak,my phone had to relearn the battery levels, the heat was extremely better with ics, like pizzadude said, give it time.it will get better.

Battery wont change much for a bit. It will have to have some time to cache on the new os. This effect could be faster for those that reset or flashed the ruu sense it reset everything to nothing. Also expect some odd life good or bad for a cycle or 2 while the phone sorts itself out. Restart it with fastboot off every day or 2 for the next week just to promote good things.

I was researching battery stuff last night and came across an article pertaining to HTC phones and boosting battery life. They said to boost performance you should charge it for a full 8 hours, then turn it off and charge it for another hour or until your indicator light is green. Then unplug it for 2 minutes and then plug it in again until the light turns green again. Then unplug and you're good to go. They said you should do this monthly. Some people reported a marked improvement. I actually switched over to an extended battery a couple days ago and was looking for a case when I ran across this article. I need to go from 6am to darkthirty without having to recharge. Swapping batteries is a pain because the back is so hard to get off, so I finally got the extended battery and it's nice not having to swap out batteries or be tied to a charger. Yes, it's bulky and there aren't many choices in cases.

This is sort of an old wives tale that started with older phones. It's called calibrating your battery, and or bump charging. It's actually kind of bad for your battery. It's actually better for the phone to charge it to 100, then let it drain to something like 95, then start charging again. It's about letting some heat drain out of the battery, because heat kills (exploding iphones) lithium batteries.

Thanks for the info.

With ICS I went with the extended battery.

Do yourself a favor and get this battery: Only $25!
Amazon.com: Laza Zcell 3240mah HTC Rezound 4G Extended Battery + Back Cover: Cell Phones & Accessories

I have had this battery for over 3 months and have had no issues at all. I used to envy the Razor Maxx but now I have my own version :p

It does make it a little more bulky but I really don't care. I only charge it every other day. I travel alot so it's really important that my phone works in case of an emergency! I will never go back to the old days of my battery dying before dinnertime!

I am really torn because when I first got my Rezound in January, I actually had an extended battery come with it and my case fits the extended battery. I have always used extended batteries, which is most likely why I am so disappointed with my current battery life.

I don't mind the look of the bulk, but it gets really heavy in the hands with this Rezound.

Yeah you're right, it is quite heavy :p
I also use Battery HD, it's a pretty good App all around, it has Calibration feature that is supposed to maximize your battery.
I haven't seen any noticeable improvement since Calibrating but it might work for others...
