No Notification Icons on top bar in lock screen?

on my just received S25 Ultra, there are not text messages icon, or gmail icons, or most other notifications!

there always have been notification icons to indicate that one might have gmail that came in, or text messages, etc.

may i ask if anyone knows how to get those notifications up on the lock screen's top bar please?

They're there. I saw a video somewhere that a default setting has changed. All I can suggest is play around or search on YT. Sorry I can't be more help at the moment. I haven't even taken mine out of the box.

Try swiping the screen down, then left or right. The notification screen is there.

Is the only way to see notification icons on AOD to show lock screen background on AOD?

I just noticed earlier that I had a text but there weren't any icons on my AOD.

I noticed the settings had changed with the Smart Switch transfer. Go into your Gmail app and make sure you have notifications set as you prefer.

For instance, I like to get notified of each new email in a thread, but it was set to notify once.

In Google Messages, my wife's texts were set on silent notifications for some reason and I had to change it.

And I thought Flossy Carter commented specifically on how app icons on the AOD were finally in native colors, except Gmail in his first unboxing video of the S25U.

I've had notification issues with SmartSwitch in the past, too. Disappointing to hear that hasn't resolved.

Since yesterday Saturday I've been fighting with that back and forth and there's no way to see those notification icons on the lock Screen, maybe it has to do with the good Lock which is not yet fully compatible.

Ok. I'm confused. I did not have any notifications on the Always On Display; that is until I made sure it was turned ON. However, I could not turn it ON since my phone was in power saving mode. Once I turned off power saving features, the Always On Display now shows notification Icons for mail, messages, etc. a clock, weather info and of course the fingerprint thing as well as on the very bottom that oval screen that now says Have a good day and a faint showing in the background of the wallpaper I installed.

If I press the on/off key when on the Always On Display screen it goes to what I refer to as the lock screen since it shows a small lock icon on the top and even if it shows full notifications it takes a fingerprint to open to go to the UNLOCKED screen, so I can then review the messages, texts, etc. (And honestly, even if I have been playing with the phone all day, I cannot remember if there were any notifications on the LOCK SCREEN or not until I got the Always On Display screen working.

Sorry if this is not what the subject matter is about. I do know how to navigate around the phone to get it setup like the S24U being returned; however not just that fluent in all the terms such as LOCK SCREEN vs. Always On display, etc.

Hopefully, this helps others and if I am way out in left field...sorry to add confusion.
