No Notification LED

I don't think it's unlimited. It goes from short to "long." I don't imagine that "long" is all that long.
That's what I thought. Edge lighting doesn't do anything like what led did. Led stays lit so even a glimpse from across a room reveals if you have a gmail or sms or hangout or outlook. Each could be set with a different color known to the user. The key is it is still on hours later. If you happen to wake up in the middle of the night you could see the led and know what it means. I know because I have done it since the invention of the original Droid.

using the notification app
the one that lights up the ring around the camera. doesn't work well when the screen is in aod.

I'm coming from a Note 8 and didn't realize how dependent I was on the LED notification until moving to the Note 10 plus and losing it. The only app that I've had some success with is Glimpse Notification which gives me repeating sound notifications. This is really my only disappointment with the Note 10+.

I didn't realize how much I looked for the LED until it was gone, either. I'll probably just have my AOD stay on longer (turns off after like 10pm now).

As a BlackBerry user, I loved that feature.
Missed it once I started using an iPhone.

Then the S9+ came along, and I used it for a while.
My friend then told me about the Edge Lighting. That will suffice for now. Albeit, I do not pay attention to the lighting as much as I used to on my BlackBerry...

But the edge lighting only last about 10 seconds then it goes off

I can’t think the last time I really found the led useful. I really haven’t worried about one since getting a galaxy watch.

Yeah, my Gear S3 has replaced the need for a LED notification.

It gives instant notification but does notification REMAIN on phone screen forever until you check it? THAT is the advantage of LED notification. It won't let you forget.

Get the LED Me Know app. It's as close as you are going to get to a notification LED. And yes, the notification is persistent.

I couldn't seem to get that app to do anything. I chose Note 10+ preset config, enabled some apps, it showed in live preview, but never outside of the app when notifications come in.Trying AOE instead with some success. Miss the regular old LED though.

Did you read the instructions? It was very easy to setup, you just follow along. LED Me Know works way better and the developer is extremely helpful when you have a question.

When I started this thread I never thought I would live with out No notification, I made it and am use to it now.
