No Notifications on Android Wear Watch After Oreo Update

Not sure whether to put this in an individual watch forum (Moto 360 2nd gen) or here. So, putting it in both as the audiences are likely different.

Anyone else having this problem?

Used brute force and uninstalled the Wear App and factory reset the phone. Mildly annoying that stuff just doesnt work out of the box,.
