No notifications

I just received my new Gear and set up per manual. I am not receiving any notifications whatsoever. I can use it as a phone and use S-voice to text and call but I cant get anything else to work. Notifications in Gear Manager are turned on. Any ideas? One peculiar thing I noticed was I downloaded the FB QuickView and it would not allow me to log in at all. It keeps reseting itself. I have reinstalled gear manager and reset the watch to no avail. No notifications at all. Is there a setting I am missing?

What app are you using for email and text? The gear works with the Samsung native apps only (unless you installed atn or any other 3rd party app)

I am using the stock texting app and native email app is for one account used along with Yahoo mail app and . I am not getting anything. Under Notifications it says: "No notifications". nothing is coming through. Bluetooth is on and its paired.

If you use the stock email app to sync with your yahoo email it should work. I use mine with my outlook account and it works fine.

I'm having this same problem with fbquickview and can't find any mention of the problem online (other than this discussion).

Well the thing magically came alive today and started notification. I didn't do anything, it just started working. I had a full day with it and have decided to return it. After googling the problems I have had with it most major sites like Cnet, ARS, and Engadget call it a major fail and a premature product. I concur. I respect the forum members who use the unit and like it. However, I found the camera poor, and the volume and microphone not good at all. The controls are clunky and the notifications are incomplete.

It's a great start and a great concept. I will wait for the Gear 2. There are rumors another one is already in the works.

Just got it and paired just fine. Not receiving notifications. Reset and paired again, but still nothing.

Help line said notifications only work when phone screen is in dark sleep mode... I instilled omooma and get double notifactions.. That help a bit.

My point exactly. The watch is like a prototype that should not have been released.
