no "One Browser to rule them all" ??? :(

Light Browser. The best.

Ok quick impressions:
I like the simplicity and quickness.
But still has some downers:
The horrible black menu bar at the bottom. Reduces the screen size to an IPhone.
No smart full screen while surfing. You have to choose FS on or off.
Some sites has display errors, so still not reliable.

I use Chrome for speed and syncing my bookmark and tabs across all of my devices. It really depends on what features you like in a browser. I myself don't like tons of features in a browser.

Well you know, I LOVE the stock browser. Otherwise, I can find myself using Chrome, Firefox, or Opera. I've tried to the a few weeks, to force myself to rely on one, I can do it too long. Oh how I love that little globe. The other browsers seem dated, plain, and limited on utility.

i think once HTC fine tune the stock browser to elevate it's level, it could be a winner.
still missing little ingredients.
for example, i cannot understand why most browsers don't have costumable floating icons at the bottom back, forward, etc)
or even the simple tap at top to go back to top of page. is it that complicated on Android?

I used Chrome for the first while, but I've noticed lately that when I tap into a box or address bar etc, the keyboard doesn't pop up right away any more. There's a long delay. Has anyone else experienced this with Chrome? I think I'll go back to using the stock browser as it's fast.

Yes it's still buggy, I had the same problem that's why I stopped.too.

On my HTC Sensation 4G, running ICS (4.0.3): Dolphin: Agonizingly slow. Chrome: Crashes Sense (the launcher) on exit. Stock browser: Hmmm... Hadn't really given it a shot. I'll let y'all know.

I don't browse much from my handset, tho.

1. Yes, it is horrible, but simple and very very fast. Didnt notice the display sites with errors, not happened to me yet.
For me, it is very important the zoom function, when you zoom with 2 fingers, getting a perfect auto adjust to the text you are reading. And this function does not work in many browsers. I liked how it works in Opera, Light browser and Maxthon.
You tried Maxthon?

yea tried the Maxthon but not really impressed. it's the stock browser for me ATM.
i think it also adjust really good to zooming into text.

btw-
i was wondering about this-
when using the stock browser, some sites (like this one) are auto adjusted to fit the screen size when double tapping for zoom (the text gets re-oriented).
this is a basic feature i would like to have on all sites when surfing.
but most sites don't have it.
is that a browser related feature, or just sites that are not well written for mobile use?

thanks.

Dolphin browser works out pretty well now. It's just my hardware that limits the performance.

Sent from HTC Note Ultra Pro on T-Mobile

Not any more so than the delay with the stock browser. I'm using Swiftkey Pro, though. Not the stock keyboard.

And by delay, I'm talking about a few milliseconds probably.

I saw a new browser called dolphin zero. Apparently it clears your data, history etc on exit. A bit like incognito but all the time.
