No option to move multiple photos to an album?

How do I select multiple photos to move to an album in the gallery? The ability to perform this basic task seems to have disapeared.

Shouldn't have to though. It's always been one of the most basic functions on any smartphone I've ever had. Even this one. No big deal but I'm not sure why it's not there anymore. Just annoying I guess.

That's pretty cool, but I shouldn't have to download work-around apps for basic functions on Android in 2019.

Well, they key word there might be "basic".
Unfortunately, the apps supplied by the phone makers and the carriers are often just basic in their feature sets.
However, the third-party apps are often very feature rich.

I go to my Gallery and open a folder. Hit the 3 dots in the upper right corner then click Move. It will allow you to check multiple photos or you can select all.

Thanks rckymtntim, that did it. Either the way you move photos changed in Pie, or I just strangley forgot how to do it. Thanks again.
