No Oreo for HTC. With ATT?

I have an HTC one M9 through ATT Prepay. Do we not get to update to Oreo? I just got the 7.0 update. Love how tuff this phone is. I've dropped it several times, no case or screen protection and it's still in complete tact form. But it's developer options are not very optional. Any ways.... Wondering if Im missing out on the 8.0???

You may need to look at flashing a custom ROM. You will have to unlock the bootloader, which will wipe your device. Make sure everything is backed up.

Yes, for unlocking the bootloader, and most likely for flashing a custom recovery that you need to flash the ROM.

I dropped mine wildly several times on sidewalks and streets and only the body edges got scuffed. Then I gently dropped it in the kitchen where it landed on the floor tile just right and cracked the screen. I put on a glass screen protector and it lived for six months before dying.

Get a case and enjoy the loud dual speakers. HTC usually ends software upgrades once the phone has two successor models: M9 gets Nougat, 10 gets Oreo,11 gets Pez, etc.
