No plans for variants to get jellybean???

Out of curiosity I contacted Motorola about a jellybean update for the ntelos razr maxx. The only answer I really recieved was that only the verizon version has gotten or will get an ota of jellybean. They stated that any variant besides Verizon is stuck to ics 4.0.4. and will not have any future updates. Anybody know if this is true at all? If so where can I get a jb rom for the ntelos version xt908?
