No "select all" for email?

Am I crazy or is there no way to "select all" emails on the Gnex? On my DX it was easy to "select all" emails then un select the few I actually wanted before deleting in bulk. But I can't seem to do that on my Gnex. Any ideas or am I just missing something silly?

There is no select all for the GNex, very disappointing. There is also no way to filter/sort email by sender, date, attachments, etc. Seems strange that a phone nowadays wouldn't have these common features. I downloaded K-9 Mail from the Market and it does allow for sorting, filtering and select all.

This is an annoyance, but actually the thing that keeps throwing me is that apparently I've got VERY used to "throwing" notifications off the side of the screen to delete them ... to the point that I keep trying to do that in the email application too! I'd love to have that functionality available rather than having to select/delete.

Yeah this is pretty typical for the vanilla android email client. HTC's client on the Rezound has it. Not sure why Google wouldn't have this simple, yet convenient feature. And I hate the response to just download another email app. The you have to configure and hope that one doesn't kill your battery, etc... I would prefer the native client to have basic features. For now, I can live without it. But it's still a little ridiculous.
