No service on start up.

When I first start up my Rezound it automatically shows "no service" for about 30 seconds to a minute before Verizon pops up with 2 to 3 service bars. Is this normal for a Verizon Smartphone? I have had AT&T for years using a iPhone for 2 years and a BlackBerry before that and don't remember this happening with any of them.

It's a rather mundane, natural part of booting up on Big Reds network. If it can hold the signal once booted there's no reason to be concerned about it. It takes bit longer to lock onto the signal when the ping rate isn't ideal. Sometimes it's instant for me, other times it may take a few seconds. It's been common to every 3g/4g phone I've owned on Big Red. Frankly, I'd be concerned if it didn't do that, at this point. lol

This is normal. All of my android phones on vzw have done this.
