Yesterday, I was among others shopping around 8pm and I'd understand if I don't get a signal but what I didn't expect is the battery drain. I can't remember exactly but my battery was around 80% then when I checked about an hour or more later, no WiFi, no mobile network, my battery was at 31%.

Does low signal waste more battery? Or was there something else sucking all the juice?

By the way, I had not been using my phone since I entered the store.

Weak signal definitely suck more battery. As phone constantly checking for better signal. And for battery drainage get Gsam battery monitor to know about any other battery drainage causes

Polling for push notifications (i.e. email, Facebook, Twitter, weather, looking for GPS satellite, etc etc) by apps in the background are notorious causes of excessive battery drain too.

(⊙_⊙) I think people that take the time out of their day (or night) to think of some clever, memorable or just plain dumb signature probably have way too much time on their collective hands and they should get back to work and earn their paycheck, instead of just expecting their paycheck. People like this make me sick to my stomach.
