For about 2 weeks, I have not been receiving notification of incoming messages:
SMS:
When I receive an SMS:
There is no sound played.
There is no '1' displayed on the message icon (on my home screen).
There is no icon in notification bar the top bar of the screen.
I have to tap the message icon to go to the messaging app, in order to discover that I have a new message.
Email:
There is no sound played.
There IS a '1' displayed on the mail icon (on my home screen).
There IS a mail icon in the notification bar at the top of the screen.
I have checked all the settings I can find and all seem to be correct.
I have downloaded and installed various 3rd-party notification apps (after disabling the original message notifications), but none resolve the problem.
About phone:
Model number: HTC Desire HD A9191
Android version: 2.3.3
HTC Sense version: 2.1
Baseband version: 12.54.60.25U_26.09.04.11_M2
Build number: 2.36.421.10 CL49203
Software number: 2.36.421.10
I have seen this, or similar problems on many forums, but there seems be a lack of solutions.
Any help greatly appreciated (it's driving me crazy).
