No sound on calls unless using speaker or headset

essential PH1 with PIE. No longer getting sound on any calls, in or outbound, unless I use the speaker or headset. Any suggestions on how to fix would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the receiver (the part you normally listen to) is shot, so it has to go into a repair shop to get it replaced. (Unless it's under warranty - then Essential will replace it.)

I was just playing with my PH-1 which I have had since release and just found that there appears to be Bluetooth problems with Android 9/Pie, it seemed to work fine before the Android 9/Pie update.

Need to do some more research and testing to see if others have had problems.

I had the same problem two days ago and it was the hole ware microphone is was all blocked I unblocked it and it was fine,it's worth a look I tried all sorts before my grandson suggested a blockage,I hope this helps.jimmy
