No touch response...

Hey guys, I think I've ran into to an issue. The tab doesn't respond to me touching it at the moment. Before this came up, it started acting up and all of a sudden, it won't react to me touching it. I want to do a reset, but don't know how. Anyone out there know of a way to do this? Right now I'm stuck on the first page where you enter your pin number.

I also did the holding down the power button and left volume button to try to power it off, but I can't select it since it won't respond to the touch. Any ideas? Thanks...

I had the same problem, and ended up sending it back. Do you have the dock by any chance? Sometimes taking it in and out of the dock again will fix it, at least that's what I have to do with my replacement one :-\
 
UPDATE: Ok, I eventually got it to work after some digging through some old posts. Here's what I did incase others have this issue. I did the holding the power button down and the left volume button down earlier and it didn't work. That was all I did and there was actually more to it than that. So, hold down the power button and and left volume button for a few seconds. I say about five seconds or more and then release the left volume button while still holding down the power button until it shuts off. Which is about another few seconds. And that should restart the tablet.

Oh man! That got me worried and I really thought I got a dud and would have to return it. Other than this issue, it has been basically flawless. At the time, I was using the stock browser to access Facebook's site and it went downhill from there...

I actually just added an update post... But to answer your question, I don't have a dock. Weird thing is, when I attempted to do the restart the first time with no luck, I had the tab charging. When I successfully restarted it, I had unplugged it. I don't now if that made a difference, but that sure made me think about what you said about taking it in and out...
 
i had more than one dud... my first one locked up 4 times and i reverted to factory reset to make it work. yesterday when is locked up 5th time and got stuck on browser screen, i finally had it and exchanged it at my local BB. got home, restored all my apps, turn it off and... boom - the second one went completely dead. ran back to BB and got the 3rd one. the sales guys there were shocked, they have never seen anything like that. i am on the 3rd unit that seems to be running very smooth for now. i will give it couple of weeks and if it does work i will keep it, otherwise i am done with Samsung...
