No unread badges on email (Nova)

So is anyone else having an issue with not getting unread badges on Samsung email and Gmail using Nova launcher with tesla unread?

I'm not getting either with nova, but with Touchwiz I at least get Samsung unread badges.

Kinda frustrated.

Try reinstalling the Tesla unread again. Might work.

Go to your Nova settings, then scroll down to unread count badges, then scroll the bottom and tap on TeslaUnread Settings. In there will be your options to for gmail and any other app you want the badge count for.

Yup, thank you, I'm familiar with Nova and Tesla unread app and have enabled it correctly. It all works fine on my note 3 and it used to work on my S6, but it no longer does. Some update from something must have messed it up.

I have had trouble with Nova/Tesla unread badges with Googles Inbox. They are working fine with the phone dialer and Google messenger just can't get them working properly with Inbox.

Try uninstalling Telsa app and then reinstall it. Sometimes that does the trick.

I'm also using Nova and have been frustrated with badge counts. Tried Tesla unread; no problem with texts but other apps often get wildly incorrect counts. Tried Missed It; don't remember now why but couldn't get it to be consistently accurate either.

The ONLY app to be consistently accurate for badge counts for me is Notifyer+. I'm using the paid version. It now allows you to create different categories of widgets. So I have a category for home screens and a category for dock. Each category can be configured differently as to size and placement to match other icons. Plus the dev is super-responsive to inquiries. I recommend it.

It's still working for me. Although even though on the Gmail setting I checked only the Inbox, when ever I get 1 email the count shows 2, if I get 3 emails the count shows 6. I'm guessing even though I just checked inbox, it also checks priority inbox as well. Wish there was a way to get it to just look at inbox.

Still no luck. I guess Nova/Tesla needs to get with the program and update their apps.

I fixed gmail wrong count by using this command in gmail search.

categoryrimary is:unread

And then marking all those emails as read.

Well I received an email response back from teslcoilsw saying they are aware of the no badges issues on the S6 and will be releasing a fix with the next update. No time/date given when that'll be though.
