I am still running 4.0.1 on my Rogers Nexus. I see others (in the US) running newer versions. Anyone know whats going on?

The canadian versions are some sort of non-yakju build which hasn't yet been updated to 4.0.2. If you want 4.0.2 right now you need to flash to pure yakju.

And is it worth it? Do I need to be rooted to flash the upgrade? I did not plan on rooting this phone....

No you do not need to root your phone to upgrade the ROM. You only need to unlock the bootloader then flash to yakju.

Also remember unlocking the bootloader will wipe your phones storage so remember to back up everything you need

I have found my battery lasts a few hours longer on 4.0.2 than it did on 4.0.1, besides that not a lot of noticeable differences

What's the point of a Nexus phone if you still have to hack your device to get the desired updates? You could hack a different phone and put vanilla ICS on it instead.

Yeah, I am a little pissed about that. I was led to believe that this "pure android device" wouldn't be a slave to the whole rogers upgrade delay mess. I love the phone anyway, but I want the newest software!!!!
