No USB mass storage on Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime

[AC Question]

If I connect phone to computer with USB cable I don't see mass storage icon. Also I can't connect a USB stick to my phone successfully with a USB to micro USB adapter-same problem-no mass storage icon comes up. I don't want to root the phone or do anything drastic to void warranty. What can be done easily?

Also your phone doesn't have otg support but you can aquire it through root
