No Verizon branding on the Galaxy Nexus?

I think you're going to be stuck because the VZW CDMA/LTE version is thicker than the GSM version because of the LTE radio and bigger battery. You might have to find a third party replacement. I don't see what all this angst is toward VZW with the branding on the phone or the complete uproar to the two pieces of VZW software. I think they want Backup Assistant because it's free and they promote highly as a way to easily backup your phone to the cloud (I was sorry that WebOS didn't have it when I moved from my dumb phone to a Palm Pixi). Also, my Verizon is being pushed to customers to make sure they can monitor their data and minutes. Now, if we also had to put up with VZ Navigator, My City ID, etc. then I could see the big uproar. Get a life, there a lots more important things to worry about.

Hmm... My Verizon shows data usage and minutes? I read an article in the newspaper saying that the USA Fed gov. threatened the carriers about giving more information to customers about their data use and minutes before they exceeded their plans limits and so then the carriers agreed to providing this info to customers. If this app is included on the phone I wonder if this is the way Verizon intends to show they are complying with USA federal guidelines?

Nope. This thing has been around for quite a while, though it has had the requisite improvements over time. It actually is quite handy when you're on a family plan with one or more teenagers involved. ;)

U ain't lying I have a 16 year old girl she does nearly 10000 messages a month it is crazy how much they text and talk very little

16 year old girl and only 10,000 messages? Compared to my step-daughter, your daughter is a rookie. ;) LOL

This has been on all Verizon smartphones (save the iPhone) for quite some time and they encourage their sales people to download it for the iPhone, and put it on the home screens of other phones as well as show customers how to use it.

And actually VZW was doing this before the govt mandate.

I'm pretty sure it's already been confirmed that it's charcoal instead of gunmetal gray.

I remember reading something like that too. I'm not sure it's confirmed though.

I'm not sure it's confirmed either. If you got a source, Droid800, sauce it up.

On an interesting note, oscillik over on XDA says his (GSM Nexus) looks more like the LTE pics than the GSM ones. Hmm. I don't know if it'll be shiny or matte. My point is simply this: Those two pictures don't necessarily mean color differences. It's all in the lighting.
