No VoLTE or Advanced Calling?

I'm on Verizon and and I believe most of the stuff like Volte works on unlocked through their LTE+ network.

As far as video calling isn't that only through their app?

The problem with some of the Verizon carrier versions is they also gimp OEM features. For example, Samsung's Find My Mobile doesn't work with Verizon carrier device. While Google's find my device does, it isn't as feature rich as Samsung's.

I guess it comes down to picking your poison.

Yeah I think that stuff is automatic. Video calling is built into the dialer. As far as find my mobile, it works for me on my Verizon version.

I just remembered something. If you haven't already, make sure video calling isn't blocked on the line at the account level. It's found in your account page, then to line details for that specific line, then to preferences, and block specific services. I recently noticed I lost the ability to make a video call. Not sure when it actually happened since I never bother with it, and found out it was disabled at the account level. When I unblocked it, the option popped up on my dialer, which is Google's own phone dialer despite being a Verizon branded phone. Screenshots_2021-09-03-19-57-06.jpg

Right, but i believe it's Verizon's dialer, but then again its been awhile since I've had a carrier phone.

Are you referring to find my mobile or find my device? Find my mobile did not work on my S10 because it was blocked from me even logging on to Samsung site.

Mines not blocked and you can't get on video calling on Samsung unlocked. Most of my family uses iphones so it wouldn't help anyway.

Find my mobile. I can log in on the website and I have all the options and everything. It also worked with my Note 20 Ultra 5G. Didn't work with my Note 10 plus though because Verizon blocked it. So really I don't think I lose anything by having the Verizon version. Don't see a reason for the unlocked device personally. I'm not changing carriers any time soon.

I found it interesting that Samsung's shop page defaulted to the Unlocked rather than making you choose a carrier. Either way, I bought the T-Mobile one as I am also not planning to change carriers. I did try and shop for a deal with T-Mobile (in store and online) and found that the cost was just way too much, especially when I was able to get so freaking many goodies for free with my order through Samsung.

I am just itching to get my hands on this thing and play with it! I know that the battery is the biggest issue with this phone, but I am a desk jockey, so I am always near a charger. :D

The must have stopped blocking it after the 10 series.

Verizon has never used the term VoLTE in their settings, it's simply advanced calling. Enable advanced calling and you're using VoLTE, disable it and you're not.

Even tho it sucks if they block video calls, how much do you folks ever use it? I am thinking of the last time I used ATT video calling and I think I might have once to test it out? I had to find another ATT customer to try it. Otherwise I just use video calling on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.

Just use Duo.
