Question No way to delete a system language??

I don't know how, but I now have Spanish titles for system messages, etc, and I can't get rid of them!


I have android 15. The settings show system language preference order. I can re-order, but not delete Espanol.





Is there a way to remove the Espanol language?

Welcome to Android Central! It's not entirely intuitive. Tap the 3-dot button at the upper right, then Remove. Then select the Spanish checkbox.

Yeah, it's a good example of poor UI in terms of inconsistency -- based on everything else on the phone, you'd think there would be a menu button associated with the language selection that included a Remove option, or that you could long-press the language to get options, or swipe the language option away.
