Nokia 3 dark circle on screen

This morning I bought a Nokia 3 and this was the first thing that caught my eye. Note that the phone is brand new. It's really noticeable especially on bright backgrounds. Are these some kind of dead pixels or something else? I don't know. Is there a way to fix this?

I moved this thread to the Nokia 3 forum 6h ago, but no forum members have replied. My own judgment is that the phone is defective.
