Nokia 8 duplicate contacts

Can anyone explain how I can set my Nokia 8 to just save 1 set of contacts. I can't find a "merge contacts" or anything that asks me where I want to save the contact to. Thanks

Your post was a duplicate.

If the contacts are all Google contacts, go to Google Contacts, awitch to the old version (left column, at the bottom) hit More and you'll find a "Find and merge duplicates" item.

If they're not Google contacts, go to Settings (in the Contacts app), export your contacts, go into Airplane mode, delete all your contacts, then import the file you exported, but import it to your Google account. Give it an hour, then go back to the beginning of this post.
