Nokia 9 mic bug

I had a mic bug with my unit too. I'm just trading mine in for another one. Anyone with this problem should do the same.

Did you happen to try the latest Android update before trading it in?

Here's a couple of pics of my animals. All taken in relatively low light. The detail of these in the low light is pretty impressive. I compared to my wife's S9. Her pictures seemed maybe more true to the lighting at the time, much warmer, the 9 pics had much more detail.

Yes, I'm very pleased with the camera. Some of the early reviews had implied that you would only get good pics if you edited them, which I will do when it's something that warrants that. But I think it also takes some really nice quick snapshots.

I got my Nokia 9 activated today. So far I like it but on the few calls I've made the handset mic seems to cut out. I can hear the other caller but they can't hear me, it seems to randomly cut in and out. If anyone else experiences this please post up.

I did notice the first few weeks in March that sometimes Google would not hear me when I asked Google Assistant something. But that was it.

With the update of last week (mid April 2019), my mic now isn't working at all! It'll only work if i'm shooting a video. Alternatively, if I want to make a call i would have to use an ear phone, bluetooth or my car! Very Strange and disappointing.

Nokia gave me the choice to either ship the phone and have it fixed (i now live in Toronto), or if I could wait for a couple of days for the upcoming fix. I chose to wait but i'm really very frustrated.

I've always been a Nokia fan, and my friends have always made fun of how i'm usually "one of eight persons in the Bay Area" to own a Nokia. I used to respect how they take mobile photography very seriously, and how they consistently produce phones with XENON flash (xenon flash gives the BEST and sharpest pics, compared to the mightiest of triple LED bla bla true tone ****ty ****).

Nokia 9's camera is solid, but many of the pics aren't as nearly as sharp as the 1080 or N8... Now those phones produced magnificent pics that really were close in quality and sharpness to that of a Sony point and shoot!

I'm supporting Nokia 9 with the hopes that if this phone 'succeeds', the company will be enticed to produce a better android camera phone WITH XENON flash!

By the way anyone else having the same mic problems I'm having now? Especially after the update of last week?

No mic problems here. Sorry to hear that you're having problems with yours.
Also, as much as i love my N8 (and i still have it and it still works) and the photos that it produced (far better than any other cam at the time, which it never got the credit it should have), the photos that I'm getting from the 9 Pureview far exceed it. And since the update the results have only gotten better.
