NoLED

Anyone know how to get NoLED to work with the power off menu/lock screen disabled? I've found that disabling the long-press pwr button menu option (shutdown app *#7594#) also renders NoLED useless.

I *hate* having to slide to unlock everytime, but I love the NoLED notifications. Tough choice...

Sorry. I don't use that process I do know that the developer has been very responsive to my emails when I was having issues with setting it up on my phone. I would suggest contacting him.

I had posted a tip on this notifications for phones that doesn't have that capability.
NoLed is awesome and work great for me, especially those moment when you're charging your phone and the screen goes off.

I've been using NoLed set at default settings and I haven't seen any significant battery drain except the usual draining we get from these turd batteries.

How do you disable the lock screen?

Will noLED work with the pattern lock screen?

My coworker uses NoLED with a lock pattern. When she turns the NoLED notification off (home key - her preference) it opens the display to the lock screen.. you then unlock your phone like normal.

There are several ways to disable it. You can open the Phone and dial *#7594# > Send and check the "Shutdown" option. This basically kills the power button long-press menu and shuts the phone down on long press. It also eliminates any lock screens. The volume keys will also unlock the phone in addition to the power button, a minor annoyance.

Another way is an app like No Lock, which just disables the swipe/pattern lock screens, but still allows long-press menu for shutdown, airplane, etc, so that's a bit better (to me) than the *#7594# method.

NoLED works equally well with the standard "sweep screen to unlock" and the pattern lock screens - no difference. In fact (and this is my whole problem), NoLED ONLY works if you have the lock screens (sweep or pattern) enabled.

I'll live with it - NoLED is too valuable to ditch it to save a half a second on a screen swipe.

Admittedly positive person here, but I actually prefer NoLED over having a single, one-color flashing light. I know which type of notification I'm receiving. If it's email, it's not urgent. But text, I'll check right away.

To prevent battery drain, you can set it to leave you alone after a period of time that you specify. Aside from that, I've used it about half of the time I've had this phone (months now), and did not notice a battery drain difference.

Most roms if not all have a "bug" that allows you to bypass the lock screen the by hitting the menu key.

When i have NoLed on, I hit the home key to bring up the lock screen and then hit menu to get to my home screens.

I am having a problem with the new update to NoLed today though. If you use "other" notifications, it is not working.

It is recommended not use the power button to bring the screen to life while NoLed is active on the device. If there is any notification letting you know that there is a miss call, voicemail, messages, etc you should then use the menu button to turn screen on.

Note: Using the power button is said to cause freezes n this case.

I can vouch for that.

Yes. You just have to press the power button again and you are back where you started.

i have noled, and i have figured out how to make it work except for email notifications, how do i get email notifications to work.

You have to turn on "All Other" notifications. The default email app won't break out email as an individual color - just adds it to all other notifications.

I now use K-9 Mail for my POP3 email accounts and those all show up in NoLED so I can set up different colors for each account.

Anyone having difficulty getting noLED to work on rooted phone running superclean 2.9? Ever since I've switched over, I can't get the app to consistently work.

Thanks.

I had a problem on sc2.8 but so I deleted it and flashed sc2.9 reinstall it and it works great for me.

Well golly, I deleted it and reinstalled it and it still doesn't seem to want to work--most of the time. It says it is on, I have toggled the the notifications I want it to monitor...and most of the time nothing. I can't find that test "button" on the app anymore either. I must be missing something.

What is weird, is that I did remember having problems with getting it to work before I rooted, and then suddenly it started working. Then I think when I got the DL09 upgrade it stopped again. So something seems buggy although it could just be me.
