Non-glass rear cover replacement?

So I went and broke the rear cover on my Galaxy S8 and I would like to know if there is a plastic replacement. It just does not seem to me like a good idea to have glass on the rear sight of a phone since it breaks so easily.

The only replacement is the factory replacement - which is glass. That's why TPU cases are made. (I've had a phone slammed hard into a wall screen first - in a TPU case. No damage, not even a mark on the wall.)

I normally use one, I've ordered one, but the phone fell in the meantime. It seems kind of silly to sell a flagship phone for a grand with a deliberate and frankly design flaw that the customer then has to spend more money to compensate for, just sayin'. I had an S3 with a plastic flap covering a replaceable battery and there was nothing wrong with that...
