Hi all,

Just got my droid. I've never used android operating system before. I wanted to add some music to my phone, so I plugged the phone into the USB port... but its not showing up as a drive on my computer. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Is there something you're supposed to install before windows will recognize the phone? Dont tell me you have to physically remove the SD card to update it..

Doh...figured it out. There was a "Mount" option in the notifications panel while it was connected. I was thinking it would mount automatically. sorry!

I can't figure out how to "mount" it. I am using an older windows xp compu. It recognized the phone but I have no option to open anything

Kyle pull down the shade, there should be USB connected, click that and it will pop up with mount/unmount, just hit mount and it should be good.

I'm having the same issue however when I get into my notifications there is no "mount" option. IDK what's wrong?

Try a different usb cord, or a different usb port on your computer. Hopefully, it is the cord and not a damaged usb port on your phone.

Try the motorola usb drivers...
