Hi ..I am new to the forum ..so Hello! ..I just got a new thunderbolt july2, 2011 and want to root it and get rid of the bloatware. I tried super manager and when i checked root function on the phone a window popped up and said The root function in this program is not support your device or system image!
i posted earlier but didn't give that i am on Verizon and it is running the android 2.21 system.any help would be a life saver since i am new to this type phone but pc savvy but a noob when it comes to the thunderbolt. Just want to control my phone ...not Verizon controlling it
Thanks
Dave

Another welcome from a fellow Thunderbolt owner!!!

Go to the link srkmagnus provided above for the forum... there are a lot of people that have rooted their Thunderbolt in that section that can help. The [Auto] Root does work... I prefer the ADB rooting method, but it really doesn't matter as long as you root your phone.

Again, Welcome!!!
