noob stupid quiestion - bricked tab?

I turned on my tab us holding the volume down switch and then pressed the power switch. I had downloaded the gingerbread update and I thought that was how to get in to flash it.
I am not rooted.

However, I am gettting a "Downloading triangle" with an android workman in it and the note "Do not turn off Target". It seems to be locked up there and I don't know how to get out of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hold power button until tab shuts off. Hold vol up and power until samsung logo appears.
