Nook boots into soft keys screen?

Any idea why the first thing I see when I boot my nookie nook is the soft key screen? It's black and shows the soft key buttons on the bottom.

I can select the home key and things are all good, but I don't know how to turn this option off.

Did you by chance set it as your default? If so you should download home switcher from the market and run that.
