Nook Color will not start when left alone

I am experiencing a problem with my Nook Color running CM7 nightlies.
If I leave the tablet powered on but the screen off, it wont then back on. I can eventually reset it by holding the power button in, but this is really annoying.
Any ideas on what may cause this?

Sleep of death. To fix use an app to turn wifi on/off when screen is on/off. I use tasker.

Yup, known bug with the current CM7 kernel, commonly refered to as sleep of death.

As koopakid said, just turn off wifi when your not using it.

Tried this and it worked.
Does anyone know if the next Kernel will fix this?
