I have it on my iPhone and it works well. I downloaded it on my Pixel 5 with the new Android 12 and when I log in things go awry. The app gets to "Lets get started..." and then nothing. Just the spinning blue ball.

Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. The app recognizes my login and finds my account. Then it simply fails. Anybody else have this app and error?

In addition to the advice from B Diddy I would also recommend contacting the app developer using the Contact / Email option for their app in the Play Store and let them know what's happening. During all 5 betas for Android 12 I had apps that were not compatible and would crash instantly. After numerous emails to the app developer team all were updated by the time public 12 was released and all work for me now. Sometimes app developers are a little slow to update their apps for new OS versions.

See if there's an update to Android System Webview. If it's already updated, then try uninstalling updates, since sometimes these updates can cause glitches in specific devices for specific apps.

I did exactly that and got the disturbing news that this is a known issue. Going from iOS to Android is often problematic for Noom. Their only solution was not what I wanted to hear. Delete my data and account, get refunded, and start again from square one on Android. This is a pretty risky-dink outfit if they cannot restore my data to a new device because it began on one platform and now I want to use another. What I'm going to do is close my account, take the refund, and just use Fitbit.

But it's not an Android problem. it's a Noom problem. They say they have no plans to address it in the near future too. According to them, it's just now it is.

Sounds pretty dodgy behaviour to me

It's definitely amateur hour at Noom. Seems like a couple kids sitting in their parents' garage whipped up this app with some high school level coding. The only pc access is for your account info. No tablet app either, only mobile phone. Very sketchy.
