Normal CPU and Battery temperatures?

Hi guys.

So I got a galaxy S6 a couple of days ago. Had to return the first one because the SIM card slot wouldn't open but now my second one is working fine.

I'm just a bit concerned about the temperature of the device. I feel it getting warm after a few minutes even when doing basic stuff like texting or some light browsing. I'm just wondering if that's normal because my previous phone (a Moto G) would only get this warm after playing games for some time.

I downloaded this app called CPUZ to check temperatures and after 5-10 mins of internet browsing and texting it's showing 50C° for the CPU and around 34C° for the battery. Would really appreciate if some other S6 owners could give me their readings

I'm not noticing any performance issues and everything seems to be working like it should (battery life is kinda bad but I've heard it's not great on this device). But I'd still like to know if it's normal for it to get warm

CPUs can handle up to 100°C, but I'd say 70-75°C should be the threshold. Anything above that and you should worry a bit.

Batteries, on the other hand, dislike heat. I'd say try to keep it below 40°C. Batteries can explode if they're too hot, like 60°C or higher.

When your battery is over 45°C, that's when I'd personally start to worry.
