Normal for the charger to get rather warm?

Not exactly sure what the point of the two piece charger plug is, but I'm just checking if its normal for it to get rather warm while charging the tablet. I mean, my Note 2's charger plug sure doesnt.
 
Bigger battery, larger capacity...doesn't surprise me. The 2 piece part is so that you can plug into your PC to transfer files, etc...

No, I don't mean the usb cable, I mean the wall adapter itself comes in two pieces. And I dont have a clue as to why.

Sorry I wasn't clear: I was explaining the reason behind the charger being in 2 pieces.

I meant to check my charger last night and forgot. I will try to remember tonight.

Two piece is probably to accommodate different country plugs.

hmm, I think the reason it gets warm is because in the outlet right above it I've been charging my Note 2 at the same time, maybe the double draw through the outlet makes it heat up more? Cause a few times when I have it charging by itself, nothing, cool as anything.
