S23 ultra vs S24+

Hello, all. I've been contemplating upgrading my S21 Ultra that I've used on and off for nearly three years now.
This most recent update, One UI 7/Android 15 saw my cellular reception/service basically go haywire and doesn't work quite as well as it used to and is very inconsistent. To be honest, I'm over it.

I was looking at upgrading to an S24+ possibly, but I kind of miss the thought of not having an Ultra device.
I could get one right now from Samsung's re-newed program for around 550.
However, for another 70 dollars, I could get an S23 Ultra.

I'm fairly confident that either could work well for me. However, getting an S23 ultra for around 600 bucks seems like a pretty good deal IMO, especially considering it's from Samsung's refurbished program and has a year warranty with it in case anything should go awry. All Samsung devices from their re-newed program have this.

I decided to get an S23 ultra and try it out. Should be here next week.
However, I'm curious, is there anyone here who would prefer the S24+?

S23U Ultra all day. So much so that I wasn't willing to trade it in for a better price.

Aside from the curved screen, I like newtly everything about it over even my S25U Ultra.

Yeah, honestly, this is the route I went. The S23 ultra should be here today.

It's also not old enough to feel like the device is TOO old. I am fairly certain I am not the only one who has purchased this device this year lol

Lol what! I got it Tuesday. It has been a very positive experience and I'm enjoying it.

It feels like in many ways an upgrade from the S21 Ultra, at least in performance. It's super smooth. Absolutely amazing battery life. Great screen, great camera. S-pen is sometimes handy, though I don't require it.

I think this has been a good move.

What you mean "what" lol. You said it was coming Monday and left us hanging.

Glad it's positive so far. From the S10 5G (Verizon Exclusive "Ultra") to the 25 Ultra, the S23 Ultra is still my favorite. Hands down peak cameras to date. Screen is also a bit more vibrant IMO, only downside the curve and slightly higher refresh floor but negligible.

I'm glad you're having a great experience with your S23 Ultra. That's a nice device.

Having had to return a ‘dodgy’ s23 ultra to an eBay business seller recently, I now have another one on order from Backmarket’s refurbished premium range. Looking forward to receiving and setting it all up.

Why didn't you just buy one from Samsung's re-newed line? It might cost a little more, but you are getting much better piece of mind with a one year warranty and actual OEM parts.

If you have a device to trade in, you can get the 256gb variant or even the 512 for a pretty good price. Far as I know, they would be around 500 and under.

Tbh, I was not aware at the time of Samsung’s renewed line! Luckily I seem to have a good one this time, which seems to have had very little use and is in excellent condition, also with a 12 month guarantee. Thanks for the heads up though.

Sure thing! Honestly, this is always the way I go as Samsung I think can be trusted to directly refurbish their own devices lol

It's a good deal for someone who might want a device that is refurbished and not necessarily needing the latest and greatest, hence why I got my S23 Ultra in August last year.
