not able to clear google chrome history on X Pure

I am unable to clear the google chrome history on my X Pure with Android 6.0. I did a force stop on chrome and cleared the cache, but all the history remains. Any other way?

It's probably resyncing from your Google account in the cloud. Open Chrome, tap Menu>Settings>Privacy>Clear Browsing Data. There, under "Clear data from the," select "beginning of time." Check on browsing history, as well as any of the other options, depending on your preference. This should clear the Chrome history regardless of the device you're using it on.

In addition to N4Newbie answer: I use this effective method
Tap the chrome icon on your phone >>Tap the 3-Vertical
icon on the right >>select History >>All the visited sites
will appears >>Tap "Clear browsing Data" >>Tap on
Clear Data again and done deal..SeeYa!
