Just updated to Lollipop, no issues with battery life, overheating, etc. My only problem is that I can no longer download and open email attachments. Anyone figure out a solution?

Are there any settings in the Email app related to downloading attachments? In the Gmail app, there's a setting for "Download attachments," but that selection is to "auto-download attachments to recent messages via wi-fi." I'm don't use a stock Email app, so I don't know if there might be a setting on Samsung that I'm missing.

EDIT: Actually, I just checked my wife's Tab Pro. The stock Email app does have this setting, but I'm not sure if it will solve your problem.

Using gmail, and i can't find a setting for downloading attachments. Still haven't figured anything out. Worked up until lollipop update.

Open Gmail. Go to settings. You should have General Settings and Settings for your gmail account (it will simply be listed as your gmail address). Open the one that is your gmail address. Scroll to the bottom. There will be a setting for download attachments. If there is a check in the box remove it. If it is checked, it will only download when you are connected to Wifi.
