Not all contacts imported from GMail

Discovered this last night, not all of my google contacts have been imported. Is there a maximum # this tablet will hold? Contacts show in phone and Gmail but not all on tablet.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

All 250 of my contacts that have phone numbers got transferred to the Note 2014 Contacts. I have another 120 "other contacts" that have no phone #, just an email address. They don't show up in the "contacts", but, got transferred anyway. When, in gmail, when I need an email address of a contact, those "other contacts" show up to choose from.

I think my situation is different in that the missing contacts don't have email addresses but phone#'s. So we have to create bogus entries to trick a top-of-the-line tablet into providing the other info we need. Hmmm.

Just discovered this: Within Contacts, Menu-Contacts to Display. One would think that All contacts would include all of the gmail contacts. selecting the gmail account displays all the gmail contacts.
