someone clearly gave it some thought and put the restrictions on the Trump rally tickets. (like I attached in post #1)

still not sure why they included GoPro in that list... some flagship phones can take 4k videos that are just as good as most GoPro cameras.

That same person that gave it thought also doesn't know technology.

Maybe they need a technology adviser.....

A6000 is an amazing camera...

I've played with the A6000 many times and couldn't agree with you more. The new A6500 seems to be even more amazing. Sony can't figure out how to sell smartphone and make a profit, but their cameras are awesome.

Dear Santa..... all I want this Christmas is a Sony A6500(body-only). Thank you.

On the other hand, they seem to finally have put some thought into something at least. (Still find ridiculous that a phone camera is called professional quality)

for what it's worth, they also turned away a guy with a Sony A6000 mirrorless camera. (which does have interchangeable lenses, but hardly a "professional" camera)

You would be surprised at the people making six figures by using an A6000

In any case, they rent the venue so they get to make the rules. If no cameras that can take high quality video are allowed, the only option you have is to follow their rules or try to sneak one in. I would direct any questions on the policy to the campaign staff via email.

Oh, I agree. I've seen plenty of professional photos taken with A6000. Heck, a real photo professional can make bundles of money by using a $400 smartphone camera. I've listened to a concert violinist who made a $199 student violin sound just as good as a $2,000,000 Stradivarius violin. It's all in the technique.
