Not always really "quick" charging.

I have noticed a few time that my phone will show being charging rapidly (OEM charger and cable), while the charging speed really isn't quick at all.

Here's an example: 51 minutes to charge 28 percent.


When I checked my wife's pixel, it was saying 41 minutes to fully charge from 38 percent, which is more like a real rapid charging.

Anyone has similar issues?

By the way, I wasn't using the phone or uploading anything.

I think the timer does take into account how long the trickle charge will take. That usually kicks in about 90%

It makes sense that the charging time varies, but 51 minutes to charge 28% still seem kind of ridiculous, doesn't it?
It doesn't happen every time, but it did happen more than once when I need to have my phone quickly charged for a long day. Unplugging and plugging again seems to help, but not so helpful when I found it out 10 minutes before having to unplug...

I have noticed the charging rapidly on my phone but it doesn't​ always show the time left until full. It will on my car charger but not the OEM Google wall charger and cable.

Is there something I have to change in settings?

For me, the charging time start to show after leaving the phone being charged for a while. It doesn't show up immediately.
