Not auto updating

My pixel doesn't seem to be auto looking for updates. I now need to manually go in and check for updates.

If I recall correctly it used to show a count timer of when it would check again. Now it just shows the last time I manually checked.

I have auto update selected in developer options.

Any ideas?

Last time checked is normally within a few hours of actual time. If this is the case, I would not worry.

Perhaps I am crazy but I have noticed that auto updates seem to be delayed until you connect the phone to a charger and then they come flooding in.

Perhaps part of the Pixel's incredible (in my opinion) battery management...

Oh I'll have to check that out.

Auto system update. Checked last night when my phone was plugged in. Still doesn't auto check for updates. I had to manually check.

Do you have the developer options turned on? There is a system automatically update. Make sure that is turned on.

For me and I'm not using the developer mode this has always been displayed this was from day one on mine. Even though mine is still set to automatically check I still have to go in and use the check for updates
Maybe it displays this way because there are no new updates
