Not enough storage space

Re: Insufficient Storage Memory

I need a larger size of SD card because I need the phone to take pictures and videos.

Another option would be to use Google Photos. As long as you leave everything on default, you can upload through either cell or wifi, and the uploads don't count against your Drive storage space. You can then look at them through either the app on the phone, or on a PC in the desktop site. If you phone gets full, the app can clear out what's on the phone, but the cloud backup is still intact.

Re: Insufficient Storage Memory

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the S10 doesn't support adaptable storage as far as know. Certain apps may be moved if the developer allows it.

No it doesn't, might be a work around with ADB commands but not by default from Samsung.

Re: Insufficient Storage Memory

I just have a live chat with Samsung Technical Support and they could not fix the problems.

I think I should change the heading of this thread, because the message that popped up from the screen was "NOT ENOUGH STORAGE SPACE".

Have you tried connecting it on your computer with a card reader. See if it has issues moving files over.

Do a chkdsk /f command on your PC and see whether that fixes the card. Sounds like a dodgy card to me. Not enough space could be a corrupt FAT or the card is fake as the others have said.

Can you suggest any software to check?

I have no problem transferring pdf files and photos from my computer to the sd card.

It will be nice to double the sd card with other software.

Re: Insufficient Storage Memory

I think I will double check the SD card again and see whether it is defective.

I am not sure what is the maximum size of memory card that this S10 can take?

128GB is good enough for me to take lot of pictures when I am going on vacation.

It's rated at 512 max, however maximum ratings limits aren't always true

I am not using this phone but I encountered same problem while trying to move Apps to SD card, and it happened only after I ran security software patch last night. I used to be able to move Apps to SD card. After the software update, those Apps disappeared,I have to reinstall from Playstore. After reinstalling,I am not able to move those Apps to SD card. Same phone, same SD card but problem only surfaced after software update. I tried re-booting,unmount and mount, reset App preferences, all not working. I live chat with Samsung support and they are of no help at all.

Re: Insufficient Storage Memory

That may be true but Samsung states 512GB. Why anyone would need more storage than that on a phone is beyond me.

4k video, RAW pictures, and offline Netflix HD downloads are 3 legitimate uses off the top of my head.
