not getting push notifications from gmail

no notifications from gmail. jus had a lg g3 no problems. soon as i sign in i get no gmail notifications, but i open the app and i have new mail about a dozen or so. sync is set up and on but nothing.

no i was on my lg g3 but i stopped

I also have stopped receiving push notifications from gmail. I have a samsung galaxy III mini - all was working fine, but after recent app update I no longer receive push notifications. Have checked all settings for sync, notifications etc - but still no luck. It seems that gmail is not autosync - don't know how to fix this. Now getting really frustrated!

Set up your notifications

If you have multiple accounts, you can change your notification settings for each account.

Which messages do you want to be notified about?

Choose an account.
Make sure that Notifications is checked.

Go back to the previous page and touch Manage labels.

Try this:
In addition to checking the settings in Application Manager - Gmail in the Android settings and also in the settings in the Gmail app itself on the phone, ALSO go to Settings on Android and then Accounts: Google and select "Sync All." This finally did the trick for me and I am now getting notifications.

Same problem here.
I went to my yahoo mail,added another mailbox, Google popped up, signed in. Now I get notifications from Gmail within my yahoo account. Since 6.01 it's a common pain. Try that. Good luck!
