Are there any good kernels out for Froyo/DL30 yet?
i agree..mine works basically the same with some features that are handy (dock audio works, navigate around text easier, flash.
Where's the drum set when you need it?
So I've played around with the DL30 build, and honestly if this is the best that Verizon/samsung can do, they can keep it.
Bugs i've noticed
1. Exchange PIN/Password policy is buggy
The exchange security policy is enforcing a special character on the PIN setting. The PIN keyboard does not have a special character. This is clearly a bug.
The exchange security policy is enforcing a 15 digit password with special characters. This is beyond our IT department's requirements.
2. Screen transitions are slower than previous version. Left/right stutters are common and the whole system is just not as smooth as DL09.
When benchmarking the system in smart bench it is about 1/2 as fast for me. Linpack is higher, but i don't see linpack as a good real world test.
3. Email support is buggy.
The first full sync with an exchange server takes forever and sometimes will only partially sync.
I'm going back to DL09 clean and i'll wait for a better version of Froyo. The extra features are nice, but this isn't nearly as well done as DL09 for me.
Yeah, i think i had some issues when i restored my nandroid that essentially led to this problem. I managed to get everything fixed and back to DL09 via odin to DI01, boot, odin to DL09. Then install the RED cwr from Odin, install DL09 + JT's voodoo 1/23 from the Red CWR and all is now well.
I think that the backup i made just before going to DL30 didn't play well when it restored, or i screwed it up the sequence.
Either way thanks again to Adrynalyne for putting together that cure all odin file way back when.
Re: 2.2.1 Asop email, maybe i'll give it a shot thanks for the file and the reminder (i used the asop email on the DINC), but I'm still concerned about the UI lags and pauses. I know you are an ADWex user, do you see similar issues?
Really? What the hell were you expecting? Some people are just impossible to please.
